Back again!!
I slapped some graphite around that outline I posted last week and here's what came out.
Overall I'm pretty pleased with the results seeing that it's been such a long time since I 'dabbled' in traditional materials. Will definitely be trying out more!!
Used a couple of new fineline erasers during this piece made by Tombow and supplied by Cult Pens in the U.K.
Here's a link to their site. The prices are excellent and service is awesome. Well worth paying them a visit!!
Anyway, gotta go, lots to do!!
Thanks for looking!!

Time warp!!
WOW!! I can't believe I haven't posted on here since before Christmas, but I've been really busy........ obviously!!
Got a bit of time for some personal stuff, so back into some studies.
Anatomy and graphite........ aaahhh what a mix!!
Here's a crappy pic of the rough guides for a skull study I'm just starting.
Take care and thanks for looking!!
P.S. I'll turn the candle up a bit next time so that it's better lit!!

Creature Feature Pt II
Time for another update and it's a creature again.
This fella is the Handlebarosaurus. an antelope domesticated for transport usage.
The small fang-like incisors are for cutting the very fibrous Sugared Bog Reed, one of its favourite foods.
Some factoids;
Top speed - Normal gallop 30km/h (or ..... 130km/h being chased by a Wood Wolf)
Favourite activity - grazing
2nd favourite activity - manure production (again this is intensified with a Wood Wolf in the rear view mirror!!)
Thanks for looking!!

Creature feature
Creatures are something I've not tried before (although I'm not too sure why).
I thought it was about time to remedy that issue and 'bug-out'.
Here's my first attempt at painting a 'Little Bugger'.
This one was definitely a lot of fun to do so there's more Little Buggers in 'mid-WIPpery'!!
Thanks for looking!!

Charcoal
I'd never tried charcoal before so I thought it about time to give it go.
It was an apple and pan-handle/ornament still life and here's the result;
Right...... I'm off to clean up all this charcoal dust!!
Bye for now!!

July update
WOW!!!! Time has flown by since the last update.
Here's a couple of recent wips.
This first was inspired by James Paick's tutorial in Issue 41 of ImagineFX magazine.
This other piece is a colour study wip from a photo I took of a lock on a local canal.
There are no texture overlays used on this one, but I did make my own brick and grass brushes.
The rest is painted from the reference photo.
Hope you like 'em!!
